Update - September 2024

We’ve been busily getting amongst a variety of smaller projects recently, and it’s a great feeling to have some of these completed, with others well on their way - and still others in the scoping stages!

Coming up in the next few weeks, we’ll have our Play Parks events held at three South Dunedin parks, giving the local community a chance to come together and get to know each other just like the old days, over a free BBQ and some fun outdoor activities and play.

Around that time, our Community Mural, a collaboration with Studio2 and the South Dunedin Street Art Trail, should be complete - we can’t wait to see it finished, and know it will add some amazing brightness and vibrancy to the street! Among other projects we’re working on, we’ll also be hosting a Halloween event: Fright Night on Ice! and Christmas Lights, where we’ll help supply lights and decorations to local businesses and community groups in the King Edward St shopping area to decorate their street frontages with, as well as a beautiful Christmas tree.

Recently completed projects have included two community noticeboards on the South Dunedin Community Hall and our Spring Clean events, where we supplied free skips over two weekends, for the community to get rid of the old rubbish that often seems to gather around the place. This was a resounding success with over 100 households come through, and 5 huge skips full of rubbish collected!
