Code of conduct
We want everyone working on Dream South D to feel safe, have satisfying and significant work to do, and have their contributed appreciated. So that we can work well together, Dream South D has some simple standards of behaviour that we expect everyone to follow:
Treat others with courtesy and kindness.
Respect the views of others, even if you don’t agree.
Do your best, and ask for help if you need it.
Follow the reasonable directions of people leading the work.
Keep yourself and others safe at all times.
Let us know if you’re not able to volunteer.
Do not smoke or use alcohol or non-prescription drugs while volunteering.
Report accidents and hazards to us immediately.
Respect the privacy of others.
Harassment, bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated.
Violence of any kind - including verbal and emotional abuse - will not be tolerated.
Speak up if you’re concerned or unsure about the work or behaviour of others - tell us as soon as possible.
If anyone breaches this code, Dream South D will talk with the person concerned. Talking into account their perspective and depending on the circumstances, a breach of the code could result in a warning or the end to the person’s services as a volunteer.
