It’s all go at Dream South D!
We’ve had some big changes at Dream South D over the past few months - and it’s all good news!
Our Community Facilitator, Nikita Choveaux, has finished the huge community engagement stage and is now hard at work creating our Community Plan, which we hope to be able to share very soon.
While our community engagement data was being processed, we participated in our first two projects. These were with the Heart and Soil Community Garden and Otago Polyfest - it’s been amazing to get out and about, and to see all the heart that people in our community put into events and groups such as these!
We recently welcomed a new board member, Warren Chambers - he has a long history working in South Dunedin, so is a great new asset for us!
We’ve employed a new Office Administrator, Nicola Pye, who is really looking forward to getting her teeth into some of our chewy admin tasks 😁
Our staff are very lucky to be working from the lovely (and beautifully refurbished) Te Whānau Arohanui hall on Victoria Rd for the next few months - nothing like a brisk Ōtepoti beach breeze to get your creative juices flowing!
And lastly, we hope to have our first newsletter out very soon - if you’d like to keep up to date with our news, please scroll down to the ‘Subscribe’ button below, or email us at hello@dreamsouthd.org.nz
