One-word check in

Motion: The minutes of the meeting of 15 March 2023 are approved.  

Accommodation - Sarah and Nikita reported back on visiting two commercial properties in South D. The steering group decided to continue discussions with one of the properties. This space would be refurbished, strengthened and made accessible.

Action: Sarah to go back to the real estate agent to discuss terms.  

Robyn’s resignation - Robyn has resigned from her role as Manager at the Network. The steering group thanks her for her work and wishes her well. 

Action: Sarah to organise a card for Robyn.

Engagement - Nikita and Sally’s plan is to begin workshops with stakeholders and their communities, analyse the postcards we have, and identify a simple project that we could do to get things underway and highlight our work. Further surveying of residents is probably on hold while we explore the views of stakeholders and their people. 

When do we stop engagement, develop the community plan, and kick off projects? We discussed an overlapping timeline where eventually formal engagement is complete, analysis happens at several steps alongside engagement, and projects are begun as analysis points to clear opportunities. A matrix could help us make decisions about what projects to take on.  

The meeting went into committee.
